Between the Concrete Jungle
This piece is my personal map of Tokyo’s „concrete jungle,“ a place defined by its overwhelming height. It captures the strange mental shifts of the city: that intoxicating „God complex“ you feel at the top of a skyscraper, contrasted with how tiny and insignificant you feel standing in the massive concrete pillars of the city’s underground drainage systems.
 
The seams are shaped by those rigid, dominating lines that mirror my own memories of the city. It’s about the paradox of urban life, the sudden rush of feeling completely free versus the sobering reality of being just another person lost in an endless, rhythmic crowd.
